On February 13, community members will have the opportunity to vote on a four-year replacement levy as well as a new, four-year capital levy. The replacement levy is not a new tax, but simply the extension of an existing funding measure. The replacement levy pays for things like extra curricular activities such as athletics, elective classes (band and choir) as well as school technology.
The capital levy is a new tax. Infrastructure repair is needed at the middle and high school. These improvements include air conditioning for the HS gym, new HVAC units for the middle school, along with new LED lighting and a host of other needed capital improvements, which can be found at this link.
